A project in progress, the Larry DeLutis Field first turned on the field
lights in the spring of 1999. When completed, the ballpark will include
two official NCAA approved baseball fields in a park setting, complete
with picnic pavilions, grills, tables and playground facilities. Named
in honor of Larry DeLutis, founder of the Rome Indians Baseball Team, the
field is located at Griffiss Business and Technology park (formerly Griffiss Air Force Base).
